Is a Size 12 plus-sized?

My friends and I got into a disagreement over whether plus-sized clothing starts at a Size 12, or 14, or 16. Most people thought it was a 16 (I thought 14,) but one of the adults said 12. Is a 12 plus-sized? I’m from Canada, by the way, but I’m pretty sure we have the same clothing measuring system as America.

in the world of fashion, ie fashion models, anything over a size 10 is considered “plus size”. In the clothing world, ie what you would find in a store, “plus size” section is considered anything over a size 14.

one thing to keep in mind a size 14 and a 14W (plus size) are not the same thing. also, size 14 is is the size of an average American woman, go figure.

i personally consider plus size anything 16 or up.
